Crystalline THCA
THCA Crystalline, alternatively referred to as “crystals,” “THC crystals,” or “diamonds,” is a solid state cannabis concentrate. It has the appearance of coarse sugar, the type that is typically used to decorate sugar cookies or to glitter the tops of baked fruit pies. Crystalline is manufactured to remove plant matter and terpenes, which are the distinctive aromatic and flavor characteristics of a cannabis cultivar or strain.
MEANING OF THCA Crystalline
You may have heard the term “THC crystals” or “THC crystalline” used to refer to crystalline, but THC, which produces an intoxicating high, is not crystalline; chemically, THC is incapable of forming a crystalline structure. In other words, what is frequently referred to as “THC crystals” is not pure THC, but a form of pure THCA. At the time of consumption, THCA crystallizes into active THC via decarboxylation. Crystalline is produced with a single cannabinoid. THCA, CBDA, and CBD are the only cannabinoids available in crystalline form. Anyone who consumes THCA, CBDA, or CBD will not experience an intoxicating high, though THCA will convert to THC when heated, rendering the crystalline intoxicating.
HOW TO CREATE CRYSTALLINE THCA
Crystalline is frequently smoked or dabbed with a dab rig. A dab rig is a smoking apparatus, similar to a small water bong, that vaporizes heated crystal for inhalation in single, measured doses. Crystalline are frequently consumed orally, either as an ingredient in edibles or dissolved in oil to create a tincture-like product. Crystals are frequently dissolved in vegetable oil or butter and used as an ingredient in homemade edibles. Vegetable and copra oils are the most frequently used solvents for dissolving crystals to create a tincture-like product.
